The Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund was recognized by the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce at the 64th Annual Meeting and Installation Dinner in October. The fund received the Cape May County ”Betterment Award”  representing years of dedication to the families of Cape May County. Brendan’s Fund also received a Joint Legislative Commendation from Senator Jeff Van Drew and Assemblymen Nelson Albano and Matt Milam. The month before the fund was given an award by the Eagles Fly For Luekemia organization for its continued support of cancer patients in the area.
