The 4th Annual High Tides Striper Tournament took place on November 6, 2010. The tournament is organized annually by the Carpenters Local Union 1743 of Cape May County. Mother nature cooperated and the 72 boats that fished the tournament had a wonderful day of fishing with a total of 53 stripers. Fish were weighed in, top honors went to Michael Senger of Erma, NJ with a weight of 49.06 lbs caught on the Tiderunner. Second place went to Tim Shaw of Green Creek, NJ on the Other Job with a 42.56 lb fish. Third place went to Rob Hafele of Stone Harbor, NJ on the boat On The Fritz with a 39.80 lb fish, Fourth Place went to Anthony Verrelli of Trenton, NJ on Riskey Business, weighing in at 39.32 lbs, and Fifth Place went to Mark Hlywiak of Cherry Hill, NJ on Topin Out weighing in at 38.83 lbs. In the Children’s Category: First place, for the second year in a row, went to Sean Emigholz (10 years old), with a 35.45 striper on Overkill, Second place went to Jake Crutchley of Ewing, NJ (11 years old) on Wendy with a 25.41 lb striper.
