Since 1992, Brendan’s fund has supported many children and their families as they face the life-altering challenges brought about by pediatric cancer.

Our donors come from all walks of life and ages. We have children who want to donate from their summer jobs or lemonade stands each summer, we have teenagers that give through service projects each year, friends of Brendan’s who are now adults with children of their own, United Way Contributions and Corporate Giving. We recently were given a $10,000 grant from both Johnson & Johnson and Merck for which we are grateful.

“Each smallest act of kindness reverberates across great distances and spans of time, affecting lives unknown to the one whose generous spirit was the source of this good echo, because kindness is passed on and grows each time it’s passed until a simple courtesy becomes an act of selfless courage years later and far away.”

– The Momentous Day by H. R. White

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a unique way to remember and support Brendan’s Fund. When supporters remember us in their wills, they help ensure the future stability and growth of our organization.

Legacy of Love

Many of you have learned about Brendan’s Fund and its mission because we have helped a child who is a relative or neighbor or possibly through the many events we sponsor in the community.

However you found out about Brendan’s Fund, your confidence in us has enabled us to grow into an organization that is responsive to the needs of families in crisis.

To ensure the perpetuation of our mission, we created the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Your help and support will allow us to continue our efforts and work in the name and memory of Brendan. Your donation will provide present and future assistance to our pediatric cancer patients and their families with “access to care” services which include but are not limited to travel, hotel, food and other services during the child’s illness.
